Here are some of the most common questions that we receive at the Town Hall.
The new online registration method will provide both convenience to voters and time and cost savings for your office. It will relieve county staff of deciphering handwriting and data entry of the information from these registrations, resulting in fewer potential duplicate registration records. Instead, the data is typed by the voter and will be queued in SVRS similar to the queued DVS Driver’s License records. As opposed to the DVS records, the online registrants will have selected their street name and street type from the polling place finder while entering their data, ensuring that their address is a valid precinct.
Online Registration can be accessed at the Minnesota Secretary of State Site – https://www.sos.mn.gov/elections-voting/register-to-vote/
Livonia Township does not require a dog license at this time. We do, however, have an Animal Control Ordinance under the Ordinance Section.
A snow emergency is declared after a snowfall of more than three inches. Plowing starts on the main routes and then continues on development streets and cul-de-sacs. Snowplows will not be sent out until the snowfall has stopped unless it is an extended snowfall or anticipated snowfall of greater than 6 inches. Plow trucks will not be sent out if it is determined that poor visibility would make plowing dangerous.
Mondays 8 am – 6 pm, Tuesday through Thursday 8 am – 4pm, Fridays 8 am to 12 pm except for Federal holidays and weather emergencies.
The Town Board meets the 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall. If the 4th Monday falls on a holiday, they will meet the 3rd Monday of the month.
If you are unsure of your precinct or polling location, check the Secretary of State Pollfinder page. After a few questions to obtain your home address, it will provide the precinct number and location where you will go to vote as well as list which district elections within the state you are able to vote.
